Best Threads For New Arrivals

Originated by Panda Termint :

There are so many great threads and posts here on ESMB.

Sometimes they get buried in an avalanche of trivia until someone rediscovers them and bumps them back into prominence.

With the sudden influx of new readers here I thought I'd search out some of my favourite threads and post the links.

Perhaps my fellow ESMBers have other threads that helped in their recovery, I'd love to see this list grow into a compendium of all that is great on ESMB.

The following is by no means a complete list, it's just a few of the threads that I consider important to newbies.

Feel free to add your favourites.

Musical Chairs

Twin A

Crimes or Wrongdoings

Stages of Leaving

Feral’s Story

Carmel’s Story

Message to Sydney Staff and Field

Mrs Pattycake Part 1

Mrs Pattycake Part 2

Chicken Joe

Pandora's Box

Other contributions :

It's not a thread, but something I didn't notice for quite a while: The Scientological Onion

What Is Expected From You As A Life Long Scientologist:

The Full Jason Beghe Interview:

Larry Anderson (of Orientation Film) Leaves Scientology and Wants His Money Back:

A *must read*, and an insightful starting point that I consider one of the best:

For the same story, ya can go to :

Read the rest here: http://leavingscientology.wordpress....e-2-catherine/

"I Know Every Inch of His Body" :

"One of the enduring tax mysteries is the 26-year battle between the Church of Scientology and the IRS" :

Marty Rathbun: 1st to Expose DM's Psychotic Violence ?

'Secret Lives' video :

First four pages of the 'Sole Source Myth' thread. Plus a brief look at 'Exploitation of the process of abreaction, and exploitation of psychical phenomena':

Notable pages from the 'Stably exterior with full perception' thread. Plus 'Bardo Thodol' thread, with Bardo Thodol ('Tibetan Book of the Dead') excerpts read by Leonard Cohen:

Excerpts from the original Scientology 'Fair Game Law', L. Ron Hubbard's 'My Philosophy', and 'Keeping Scientology Working', plus the 1968 interview with L. Ron Hubbard, and some other items:

Here is another important one, The Janela Websters' story :

The Soul Catchers :

Exposing the Errors and Damage of Scn Tech

This thread by "Dulloldfart" asking and answering the question: "Out-Int — Fact or Fiction?" is a good one in my view.

Reason being that it a) exposes an element of Scn that has screwed so many folks up and, b) shows that there are better answers outside of the limited KSW mania of the CofS.

Here's the link :

The correct answers for handling "out-int" began to be developed on page 15.

The Apollo Thread

It started with the best of intentions :

How about this thread?

So, for all the things I got out of Scientology, I decided to make a web site. Here it is:

This is basically a compilation of hard-to-find data I collected over a year long period where I spent about 4 days a week full-time on the net researching the cult.

I hope that I have hereby created a resource where those seeking answers can get a lot of the really important data very quickly.

The site contains some of my own ideas, but it is also compilation of ideas from many others. I have tried to list all the contributors in the "links" section, or on the page of the specific article itself. If I have left you out, please let me know and I'll correct this.

Creating the site also had its cathartic benefits. And now that it is done, well, hopefully I'm done with the cult too. It's time for me to let it go, and to carry on with my life.

I'd appreciate if you could put up a link to this site, as I really do believe that it will prove to be a valuable resource in getting the true data made broadly known.

Over and out.
